Suffolk New College was ultimately frustrated with the lack of control and continuity that they had come to know whilst trying to update, edit and maintain their website. They needed a simple to use, yet comprehensive way of Managing the website, whilst having the options to utilize features that will take their website forwards and to be the backbone and direction for the eventual website redesign.

Their website needs

A simple way for the college staff to manage the website, giving the team control over existing content and the ability to add interactive and essential features that will enable them to gain a better understanding from their students and interact with external contacts.

The Free Rein solution

Free Rein stepped in, after the successful build and management of an Email Marketing System for Suffolk New College, it was decided that the website would be moved over to a Free Rein Content Management System (CMS) in its existing form and months ahead of the redesign. Taking just under 6 days the website in its entirety was moved over and ready to be managed and controlled by the college staff. The website encompasses all the standard Free Rein Content Management System (CMS) and is set-up so individual departments and staff control their own sections of the site, keeping the admin time down and allowing for quality control processes to be maintained. The system also gives them a comprehensive analytics module to allow them to monitor and learn more about the websites users. After training for 10 of the selected department staff they was ready to fully control the site in a way not thought possible by Suffolk New College before their Free Rein solution was delivered.

Results

After training 10 selected department staff the website was ready to be fully managed and controlled in a way not thought possible by Suffolk New College before Free Rein delivered their bespoke solution. The website is now maintained and managed by the staff at the college and is currently in the final stages of the redesign are in process and we look forwards to matching the comprehensive system with a modern and impressive design to bring the colleges website to life.
