The Chamber's web presence was in need of a major design revamp and a complete review of the functionality to enable the team to communicate and engage with both current members and attract new members. A full assessment of the structure and how the content should be displayed and delivered was undertaken - the end result was a fully functional and visually pleasing, interactive website for the Chamber team and, most importantly, the members

Their needs

A clean but proactive website design that engaged members and promoted the Chamber's services to members. Increase functionality of the content management system to allow the team to exploit newer web functionality. 

The solution

Free Rein developed a comprehensive content management system with email marketing fully integrated with event and ecommerce management. Complete layout control on key pages was achieved by using the toolbar features of the Free Rein CMS which allows adverts and promo buttons as well as content boxes to be controlled on specific pages or across complete sections. The system contains a number of databases with extensive queries features that enable the Chamber to quickly set-up and broadcast email communications to members and newsletter subscribers. The need for the Stowmarket Chamber and Haverhill Chamber to have a presence on the main website was addressed by giving full control over the individual navigational items on each of the sites to Stowmarket and Haverhill teams. This was then extended to give Chamber specific company and member directories to promote the local role of these Chambers.   

Result

A streamlined user experience and members area with an easy to use management system for the Chamber team that helps deliver facilities such as dynamic events planner that features 'speed' booking with no form-filling for the member logged in and associated people within that company. Members can post their news, events and offers to the website using a modern on-site editor which enables everyone to easily interact and influence the website.
